The Dolhun Clinic Internship was founded by Dr. Eduardo Dolhun, a Mayo Clinic graduate, who wanted to promote the three core values of the Mayo Clinic: patient care, education, and research.

Dr. Dolhun is a board-certified Family Physician practicing in San Francisco, California. He completed his medical school 1996 and residency at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida in 1999. Dr. Dolhun completed fellowships in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University and Family Medicine and Faculty Development at UCSF. 

Dr. Dolhun has been published in numerous peer-reviewed medical journals, and has won multiple awards, including the 2012 Marquette University Service to the Community Award and the 2017 Mayo Clinic Humanitarian Achievement Award, for his work with his nonprofit Doctors Outreach and with DripDrop, a public benefit corporation. He was co-director of Ethnicity and Medicine at Stanford University from 2000-2018 and is now adjunct professor in the College of Health Sciences at Marquette University. Dr. Dolhun is the founder and inventor of DripDrop ORS, a patented and internationally distributed oral rehydration solution.
